Description:
Tohno Takaki and Shinohara Akari, best friends and classmates, are forced to part ways when Akari's family relocates to a different part of Japan because of her parents' work. However, they remain in touch through letters. Takaki also eventually discovers that his own family is preparing to move, and decides to see Akari one last time before parting ways. In the following years, they go separate ways as their lives take different paths, with their once-close bond fading and communication becoming less frequent. Nonetheless, they continue to reminisce about their friendship and shared experiences, hoping for the possibility of a reunion someday.
