Description:
The movie centers mostly on the Shanghai Ghetto, under Japanese rule during the Second World War, where three kids' story unfolds. Rina and Mishalli are Jewish immigrants who fled Europe, but they lose their parents along the way. A-Gen, a Chinese child, crosses their path, helping them survive in the hostile environment. As the movie progresses, the children build a close bond and embark on adventures while trying to dodge the Japanese army and their Nazi partners. All the while, the Sino-Japanese War rages on, and Rina and Mishalli's parents' whereabouts in Europe remain unknown – casting doubt on their reunion.
