Description:
In an era gone by, town-specific superheroes, known as local heroines, gained immense popularity for their talent in performing stage shows that brought praise to their hometowns. Hinano, being no exception, was excited to host the famed Kamidaio, the foremost among these heroines. However, Mikan Kise's younger sister, Yuzu, is shattered when Mikan takes her to the cancelled show. Mikan vows to make amends and enlists the help of her friend, An Akagi, who is a passionate admirer of local heroines. Together, Mikan and Ann recreate the Kamidaio performance using homemade costumes that the children in the audience thoroughly enjoy, despite its low production value. The show is filmed by Misaki Shirogane, the student council president from a family of politicians, who intends to bring the town back to life. Impressed by the performance, Misaki offers Mikan and Ann the role of official local heroines of Hinano. The group's influence expands as they bring in new, diverse individuals to improve their performances.
