Starting his first year of high school, Matsuboshi Raidou has one goal in mind: to make friends. At the top of his list is Reina Aharen, a cute, diminutive girl who's also his seatmate in class. What Raidou doesn't know is that Reina feels the same way, but she's faced with a dilemma. Reina is socially awkward and shy, and she doesn't know how to initiate a conversation with someone and establish a friendship. Their unlikely friendship is full of challenges because of Reina's inability to read social cues, making even the simplest tasks difficult. But Raidou, being the imaginative person he is, is determined to overcome these obstacles and get closer to Reina. Despite the seemingly pointless challenges they face, Raidou remains persistent and will stop at nothing to befriend Reina.
