Description:
Ayakashi, a 2005 game intended for adult audiences, is the inspiration for this adaptation. Ayakashi is a parasitic life force that bestows superpowers to its host while consuming the host's entire life force. Kusaka Yuu, a student who has lost his desire to live following the passing of a cherished childhood friend, experiences a dramatic shift after the arrival of a mysterious girl named Yoake Eim. Yuu's ability is awakened when targeted by Ayakashi and their hosts, leading to an unending struggle. As a result, his life will never be the same again.
