Description:

Ayakashi, entities with supernatural abilities that are undetectable to most, pose a threat to humanity as some feed on their life force. Exorcist ninjas are employed to protect against them, and Matsuri Kazamaki is one of them. As a member of a renowned clan of exorcists, he views all ayakashi as a danger and vows to keep his childhood friend Suzu Kanade, an ayakashi medium with exceptional vitality, safe from them, despite her wish to interact with them. Their differing opinions on ayakashi clash when they encounter Shirogane, the feared "King of Ayakashi," who targets Suzu for consumption. Matsuri saves her life and seals Shirogane's powers, but it has an unexpected outcome - Shirogane transforms into a girl! As Matsuri learns to cope with these unprecedented changes and continues fighting against hostile ayakashi while awaiting his return to his original form, Suzu struggles with her ambivalent emotions towards him, leading to a complicated relationship.
