Description:
The OAV Battle Skipper (1995) directed by Takashi Watanabe, is actually not a feature despite its title. It follows the downfall of the Etiquette Club at St. Ignacio's School for Girls, who end up donning scant attire to operate cutting-edge military mecha known as Battle Skippers. These young ladies, known as "Extars," take on Sayaka, the unpleasant, wealthy leader of the Debutante Club and her loyal subordinate, Todo, in order to rid the world of their strange plots. The show was produced to promote a Tomy line of robot toys and may appeal to viewers who do not mind silly high school quarrels that turn into aggressive battles with satellite weaponry.
