Description:
Assiah and Gehenna are two opposing worlds with humans and demons as their respective inhabitants. The only way to travel between these worlds is through possession. Satan, the ruler of Gehenna, is unable to find a suitable host, leaving him stranded in his own world. His son is chosen to enter Assiah in hopes of becoming a suitable vessel for the demon king. The protagonist of Ao no Exorcist is Rin Okumura, a regular yet troubled teenager who gets attacked by demons. After discovering his true identity as the son of Satan, he is conflicted about his destiny to take over Assiah with his father. Refusing to follow in his father's footsteps, Rin trains to become an exorcist along with his brother Yukio. Their mission is to defend and safeguard Assiah against demon attacks.
