Description:
The setting of Dog Days is Flonyard, an alternate Earth populated by humanoid creatures with animal appendages. The Republic of Biscotti, comprised of dog-like inhabitants, is faced with danger from the Galette Leo Knights, a feline army. To defend her kingdom, Princess Millhiore makes the decision to summon a champion from another world to fight on their behalf. The chosen one is Cinque Izumi, a typical middle schooler from Earth. Despite his apprehension, Cinque agrees to help Biscotti and acquires an important weapon known as the Palladion. In Flonyard, battles are conducted like games rather than conflicts, and are designed to raise funds for each kingdom. Cinque triumphantly fulfills his role as Biscotti’s champion, but discovers that he cannot return home. The people of Biscotti vow to assist in finding a way back to his world, but in the meantime, Cinque must continue his service as Princess Millhiore’s defender.
