Description:
For his summer task, Nobita is assigned to delve into the history of his town. With the company of Doraemon, they utilize a device called the time camera to capture snap-shots of the town's landmarks during different eras. To their amazement, the final image they take features the Japanese folk legend, Momotaro hauling a loaded cart of treasures. Afterwards, a foreigner runs into Nobita's mother and shares a small portrait of a person garbed as a samurai. The photo bears almost the same likeness as a picture, and the individual in the picture appears exactly like Momotaro. This foreigner has obtained the picture from his forebears and journeyed to Japan to uncover the reality surrounding its origins. Nobita begins to believe that Momotaro could have existed as an actual individual. To uncover the enigma, he embarks on a time travel journey to Japan's past accompanied by Doraemon, Shizuka, Takeshi, and Suneo.
