While on a school trip to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, Mii and Yuko stumbled upon a neglected monument commemorating Dr. Marcel Junod. Puzzled by his identity, the girls suddenly found themselves transported back in time to Europe, over 70 years prior. It was 1935, and Dr. Junod was departing from Mulhouse, France to serve as a representative for the ICRC in Ethiopia. Mii and Yuko traversed the challenging path of the young doctor, bear witness to his struggles and severe encounters with war. The brutal attacks on Red Cross workers and the use of poison gas shook them, and Dr. Junod's selfless participation in helping those in need inspired them. Dr. Junod went on to work across various European battlefields in improving the treatment of POWs, facilitating prisoner exchanges, and establishing communication methods between prisoners and their families. His humanitarian work extended beyond physical relief and into providing emotional support to those in despair. Mii and Yuko reflected on his actions and how it related to their own problems and lives.
