Dragon Quest takes inspiration from Dragon Quest III with some modifications. While some characters and names remain the same, significant changes have been made to the world map, resulting in a distinct difference. The two primary protagonists, Abel and Tialah, play a prominent role in the story. Tialah receives the mythical Red Stone from Master Yogi, a renowned sage from the village of Aliahan. However, the malevolent Baramos kidnaps Tialah with the intention of using the Red Stone to resurrect The Great Dragon and gain immortality. Abel, swearing to rescue Tialah, is entrusted with the Blue Stone, a powerful item capable of containing the unleashed Dragon.
