Description:
Tatsumiyajima, located in a tranquil area of the Japanese archipelago, is the central island in a small group of isles. Despite the island's uneventful nature, the younger inhabitants are aware that their lives are bound to remain quiet and untroubled. However, this is not the reality as the future of humanity rests on their shoulders. Tatsumiyajima is the only barrier that stands in the way of a hostile and incomprehensible enemy. The giant robot, Fafner, is the key to mankind's survival as it guards the final asset. In the final episode, the runtime extended to approximately 48 minutes rather than the conventional 24 minutes.
