Description:
While out at sea with his father, Tsuwabaki Daiya discovered a black flame on the ocean. Suddenly, a huge creature emerged from the blaze and took Daiya's father and crew with it as it disappeared into the depths. Luckily, a colossal mecha dragon appeared in the nick of time to save Daiya from suffering the same fate. Fast forward five years and Daiya is now a junior high school student. The monster reappears, and once again, the mecha dragon named "Daiku Maryu" comes to his rescue. The dragon's head detaches and transforms into a super robot known as Gaiking, and Daiya takes control to defeat the monster. With a newfound understanding of an enemy bent on ruling the world, Daiya ventures into the different realm of Darius to stop their plans.
