Description:
The end of life is not a finality; one can experience a new beginning by triumphing over the challenging game presented by the enigmatic black orb known as Gantz. Masaru Katou, a commendable and compassionate scholar, is fatally stabbed while en route to a celebration for his sibling's birthday. Things take an unexpected turn when he regains consciousness in a compact room that overlooks the bustling metropolis of Tokyo. Masaru quickly learns that he has not entered the afterlife but has rather landed in the antechamber of a nerve-racking competition, where every contestant's fate hangs perilously in the balance. Without much time to process the situation, Masaru is given a firearm and jettisoned to Osaka, with a mission to eradicate any unearthly beings he encounters. Assisted by the experienced but aloof Jouichirou Nishi, the stunning and talented idol Reika Shimohira, and the middle-aged Yoshikazu Suzuki, Masaru must conquer his apprehensions and fight to secure victory in the game to reunite with his beloved younger sibling.
