Description:
The world of Ars is plagued by an eternal conflict between humans and mammoth creatures that devour resources. The elite warriors of this world, the nagimori, who control the power of kannagi - mystical beings with magical gifts - bear the burden of preserving the land. Following the loss of a comrade in battle, former nagimori Jiiro meets Kuumi, a novice wielder of her abilities. Together, they pledge to defend their city from an impending behemoth assault. However, Jiiro discovers that Kuumi is on the run from Mezami, the cold-blooded executive of a research facility. Despite his reservations, Jiiro agrees to aid Kuumi in evading her pursuers. He embarks on a mission with her and their accomplice, Myaa - a young girl donning a feline headpiece. As they travel throughout the realm of Ars, they come across a new danger: the greatest peril may no longer come from the monstrous beasts, but from their fellow humans.
