Description:
After receiving a phone call inviting him to participate in the Japan/China/Korea Junior's Tournament, Hikaru learns that he must compete in a preliminary tournament to secure a spot on Japan's team. Upon conferring with Akira, Hikaru discovers that Akira has already been chosen for the tournament and will bypass the preliminaries. Feeling disheartened, Hikaru decides to steer clear of Akira's Go Salon until he too secures a place on the team. However, the challenge he faces is daunting - not only must he compete against old friends for one of two coveted spots, but he must also contend with a formidable opponent from the Kansai Go Institute.
