Description:
Once upon a time, in the village of Ikuta, there lived a young and exquisite female named Unai-Otome. It was inevitable that she garnered the attention of two deeply enamored admirers. The girl was distressed and vexed by the decision of which suitor to choose. To resolve her internal conflict, she chose to end her life. Despite her virtuous intentions, she found no comfort in death. After many years had passed, a pilgrim passing by her tomb met a stunning young lady, and her tale resurfaced from the abyss of time. Drawing inspiration from the classic play of Noh traditional theatre, the film exhibits Kawamoto's proficiency in highlighting the perplexities of humanity through the depiction of the inexplicable.
