Just four months prior to his legendary showdown with Yang Wen-li at the Astarte Battle, Reinhard von Müsel was still perceived as nobody. Despite being the youngest admiral of the Empire, Reinhard was continuously looked down upon by his peers due to his ties to the Kaiser's mistress. Upon arriving at Iserlohn Fortress with his expeditionary fleet, Fleet Admiral Gregor von Mückenberger ordered Reinhard to intercept an Alliance fleet located in a nearby starzone. Although fully cognizant of the Admiral's intentions to eliminate him in battle, Reinhard gave the order to attack the enemy in Legnica's atmosphere. Unbeknownst to him, this decision would spark his fateful encounter with the Hero of El Facil.
