Description:
Maris faces numerous challenges despite her alien origin, dysfunctional family and chaotic universe. However, her greatest obstacle is her Thanatosian identity which grants her enormous strength but also causes unintended destruction. Even the advanced restraints she wears are unable to rein in her power, resulting in constant liabilities. Her enrollment in the Inter-Galactic Space Patrol only adds to her financial distress since all damages incurred on missions are deducted from her payments. Nevertheless, Maris' fortunes appear to change when she is tasked with rescuing the captivating and wealthy Kogane Maru. Having successfully saved him from the clutches of his hostile captor, she anticipates that he will offer her his sincere gratitude and solicit her hand in marriage - which would alleviate her monetary burdens forever.
