Description:
The plot of Millennium Actress entwines time and reality as a filmmaker sets out to uncover the whereabouts of the legendary actress, Chiyoko Fujiwara, who disappeared for no apparent reason during the pinnacle of her successful acting career. Along the way, Chiyoko grants the filmmaker an audience and receives a treasured keepsake in return; a lost key she thought was gone forever. Little did the filmmaker anticipate that the key would unravel not just the mysteries of Chiyoko's life but his own as well. Interestingly, the movie premiered at the Fantasia Film Festival on July 28th, 2001.
