Description:

During his summer break, Nagasumi Michishio, a student in middle school, travels to Seto Inland Sea. One day, while swimming at Mio Sun Beach, he experiences a sudden cramp in his leg. Stranded in deep waters, his screams for help go unheard and he finds himself slowly sinking towards his death. Just when he is about to lose consciousness, a mermaid shows up and saves him. Nagasumi's savior, Sun Seto, visits him that night and introduces herself as a mermaid from a yakuza family. Under mermaid law, revealing oneself to a human is punishable by execution. In order to avoid this, the Seto family offers a solution: Nagasumi must marry Sun or face death at the hands of Gouzaburou, Sun's father and the boss of the Seto clan. Left with no other choice, Nagasumi agrees to marry Sun. The newlyweds now face the daunting task of keeping their relationship hidden. Despite Gouzaburou's never-ending attempts to kill Nagasumi and the trouble created by a host of adversaries, the duo finds a pure and sincere love for each other as they adapt to their new life.
