Description:

Shuu, known as Shuu to his friends, has a simple life that revolves around his love for kendo, a crush he's harboring, and spending time with his close friends. After suffering a devastating loss to his kendo rival, Shuu seeks solace and watches the sunset atop a smokestack. That's where he meets Lala-Ru, a quiet girl with striking blue hair and a unique pendant. Though Lala-Ru seems disinterested, Shuu tries his best to form a connection with her. However, their peaceful meeting is abruptly interrupted by a woman and two menacing machines who appear out of nowhere with the sole intention of capturing Lala-Ru. Determined to save his new friend, Shuu puts up a fight and gets transported to a strange and unfamiliar desert world. Despite facing unimaginable hurdles, Shuu remains steadfast in saving Lala-Ru until he's overpowered by some soldiers. Despite the challenges, Shuu discovers that Lala-Ru has the extraordinary ability to control water, which is a precious commodity in this dystopian world. The pendant she possesses is the source of her power, but it's missing, and Shuu is the one to blame. Ima, Soko ni Iru Boku, is a heart-wrenching tale that depicts a world plagued with several issues. Shuu is willing to endure starvation, torture, and even war, only to rescue Lala-Ru and ensure her safety.
