Description:

As a result of his father's profession, 15-year-old Hiroshi Kuzumi and his family relocate to Jouga, a mountain settlement. While many teenagers might have trouble adapting to new surroundings or feeling like outsiders, Hiroshi is warmly welcomed at school by most of his peers. They seem to be drawn to him, and he rapidly makes two new friends: the excessively affectionate and clingy Isuzu Tsumuhana, who also happens to be his neighbor, and Kaname Asagiri, who has recently moved to Jouga. At first, Hiroshi's life appears to be perfectly normal – until individuals start disappearing. Hiroshi is informed that these vanishing residents have merely relocated or been abruptly transferred, but he can't shake the sense that something is amiss. Meanwhile, under a red moon in the middle of the night, masked individuals led by a girl carrying a scythe hunt their prey in the dimly lit avenues of Jouga. Who are they, and will any of the inhabitants be able to escape their wrath?
