Description:
Open Your Mind's storyline centers around the extraterrestrial genesis of existence. Six deities initially arrive from outer space as an intermission act and evolve into aquatic form as Sho-ho. They transition onto terrestrial life as they emerge in the air as Hyakkin and eventually settle on the ground as Ku-nu. Each of these creatures dominates one of the six elements of the godai philosophy - Earth, Water, Fire, Wind (referred to as kaze in the Hyakkin chant), Sky, and Consciousness (dubbed "Awakening" in the movie's title).
