Description:
In the future, humans have expanded their reach to colonize other planets, only to be attacked by an alien species known as Victim. The assaults leave the human colonies devastated, save for one planet called Zion. In a bid to save Zion from further destruction, a training school called GOA is established to gather boys from colonies on Zion and nurture them into becoming pilots of the Ingrids, also known as The Goddesses, which are five fighting robots tasked with protecting Zion. To qualify, the boys must have a rare blood type, EO, as well as a unique special ability referred to as EX. Candidate 88, also known as Zero, arrives at GOA and inadvertently falls into the cockpit of Ingrid Eeva-Leena. Due to the delicate synchronization required between the pilot and Ingrid, it gets feared that Zero will face death when attempting to synch with the Goddess. However, Zero achieves a full synch with the Goddess before passing out. Unfortunately, before he can unravel the details of the occurrence, his pilot training commences.
