Ahiru, a sweet and clumsy young girl, appears to be an unlikely hero in a real-life fairy tale. Despite her unremarkable appearance, Ahiru is just as magical as the talking cats and crocodiles that populate her town because, in fact, she is a duck! Transformed by a mysterious figure named Drosselmeyer into a human girl, Ahiru discovers her true purpose. Her magical egg-shaped pendant allows her to transform into Princess Tutu, a talented ballet dancer whose performances can soothe people's troubled hearts. With this new ability, Ahiru takes on the challenge of collecting the scattered remnants of her prince's broken heart. He had shattered it long ago in order to defeat an evil raven and seal it away forever. Princess Tutu is a classic tale of heroic figures defying their destiny, contending with their emotions, and deciding their fates. Their beliefs, passions, and deeds will determine whether this fairy tale will reach its "happily ever after." The series Princess Tutu was broadcast in two parts. The first part comprises 13 25-minute-long episodes, while the second part consists of 24 episodes with a duration of 12 minutes each, concluding with a 25-minute-long final episode for a total of 38 episodes.
