Tousuke Rokudou is a freshman at Aomori High, a school notorious for its delinquent population. He endures regular bullying from his classmates because they find his behavior incompatible with their own, with the exception of his two close friends who are also social outcasts. Fed up with their constant torment, the trio wishes they could experience the fun and stress-free school life they had always dreamed of. Tousuke's luck takes a surprising turn when he receives a package from his late grandfather containing the family's prized possession, a scroll rumored to protect the holder from danger. As he grasps the scroll, it emits a strange glow and leaves a distinct mark on Tousuke's forehead. Believing that the scroll will grant him and his friends the freedom they desire, Tousuke is surprised to discover that its capabilities differ from his expectations.
