On a train ride to her new middle school, Momoka Sonokawa falls victim to a molester. Thankfully, she is saved by none other than Miou Ootori, a fellow student armed with dual pistols. Miou happens to be the president of the Aogiri Academy's Survival Game Club, Sabage-bu. Impressed with Momoka's skill with a pistol, Miou encourages her to join the club. Despite Momoka's initial reluctance, she finds herself inexplicably drawn to the group and soon becomes a member of Sabage-bu. However, Momoka quickly realizes that this club is not your typical middle school extracurricular activity. The members' peculiar behavior frightens her, and she struggles to adapt to their eccentricities. Their personalities range from devoutly passionate to completely insane. They unashamedly don ghillie suits in public or go bungee jumping from the school building. Thrown into the mix of these survival game enthusiasts, Momoka must find a way to adjust to her newfound, unpredictable school life.
