Description:

This anime takes place in the past and gives insights into the Saiyuuki quartet before they formed and embarked on their journey to the west. The first OVA introduces Sanzo and his master, as well as Ukoku (later known as Ni Jianyi). The second OVA depicts Goku and Sanzo's initial encounter. The third OVA covers the aftermath of Hakkai's sins and his subsequent trial (as seen in the first season of "Saiyuuki"), ultimately leading to his choice to reside in Gojyo's home.
