Description:
Since he was a child, Chihiro Furuya has been obsessed with zombies and always dreamed of having an undead girlfriend. One day, when his cat Baabu is killed in an accident, he decides to try and resurrect him using a potion he creates. Along the way, he meets a wealthy girl named Rea Sanka who confides in him about her unhappy life. After bonding with her, Chihiro works even harder to bring Baabu back to life, eventually succeeding with the help of poisonous flowers from Rea's family garden. However, Rea mistakenly drinks the potion, hoping to escape her life, believing it will kill her. Although she survives, the potion causes her to become a zombie, and she must rely on Chihiro to help her navigate her new existence. For Chihiro, the idea of having a zombie girlfriend seemed like a dream come true, but the reality is much stranger as he tries to deal with Rea's unusual cravings and the unexpected consequences of her transformation. In Sankarea, Chihiro's life becomes more bizarre than ever before.
