Description:

The 4 episode OVA series SD Gundam Gaiden was created by Bandai in 1990. Tetsuro Amino (known for Macross 7 and SD Gundam's Counterattack) directed the series, which takes place in the medieval fantasy world of Suda Doaka. Well-known Gundam characters, including Amuro Ray and Char Aznable, make an appearance in this series through their fantasy-styled mobile suits. SD Gundam Gaiden follows Knight Gundam and his companions as they protect Suda Doaka from Satan Gundam and Sieg Zeon. A significant portion of the series takes place in the Kingdom of Lacroa, which appears in other SD productions such as the 2003 TV series SD Gundam Force. Unfortunately, the series is not currently available in the United States, as is the case with most older SD Gundam productions.
