Description:

Dr. Eggman (Robotnik in the US version) takes the president and his daughter captive and demands Sonic comply with his wishes. Sonic must venture to Eggmanland to stop Black Eggman and deactivate the city's generator before it overloads. What Sonic doesn't realize is that it's a ploy to activate Hyper Metal Sonic, a robotic doppelgänger created by Eggman with the intention of annihilating our hero.
