Description:
Hanamichi Sakuragi, notorious for leading an unruly gang, has a miserable dating history, with a staggering 50 rejections. However, upon enrolling at Shohoku High, he falls head over heels for Haruko Akagi, a fellow student who is a fervent basketball enthusiast. Recognizing his natural athleticism, Haruko persuades him to try out for the school's basketball team. Despite his explosive temper and lack of experience in the sport, Hanamichi turns out to be an invaluable player and develops a newfound love for basketball. Initially driven by his infatuation with Haruko, his goals transform as he becomes increasingly determined to lead his team to victory in the national championships.
