Description:

After bearing witness to an ample amount of death and misery, Fushi, the immortal, chooses to withdraw himself to an island where he safeguards himself against his enemy, Nokkers. To his surprise, the Nokkers do not attempt to assault him, but instead focus on attacking the settlements beyond his reach with the intention of luring him out. Eventually, a group of individuals known as the Guardians, led by Hisame, the descendant of the warrior, Hayase, locates Fushi. Having been inspired by Fushi's previous defense of Janada Island from the Nokkers, the Guardians acquire a vast following and become well-known worldwide. Fushi, hesitant at first, then lets the Guardians accompany him to the location of the Nokkers' recent raid. In the village, Fushi discovers several valuable allies, both old and new. But, as Nokkers' aggression escalates and more lives are lost, Fushi must muster the inner strength to confront his inevitable despair.
