Description:
A man awakens alone and freezing in an unfamiliar forest, devoid of his memories. While wandering, he encounters Kuon, a young girl with animal features, who saves him from the dangers of the wilderness. As they journey to her town, they fend off attacks from monstrous creatures and a mysterious red slime. Upon reaching their destination, Kuon dubs him "Haku" after a revered historical figure, and he discovers that he is the only person without animal traits. Together, they embark on a trip to Yamato's capital, where they form bonds with new companions and become embroiled in the political intrigue and internal strife of the country. In Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen, Haku uncovers the enigmas of this foreign domain, endeavors to unravel the truth behind the red slimes, and endeavors to avoid conflict among neighboring nations.
