Description:
In the 21st century, the world of robotics is rapidly advancing on a global scale. Daiwa Heavy Industries in Japan emerges as a leader in robotic technology and manufacturing by 2050. As technology progresses, the boundary between humans and robots becomes blurred, resulting in a sudden shift in public opinion worldwide. The UN responds by passing a ban on further robotics research and development in 2067, which Japan strongly opposes but ultimately accepts. In protest, Japan withdraws from international politics and adopts a policy of high-tech national isolation, continuing only trade with other countries. As a result, Japan fades away from the global scene. Ten years later, the American technology police organization, SWORD, begins to suspect that Japan has been secretly developing forbidden technologies through the RACE network. SWORD sends a team of special agents to infiltrate Japan and gather information about the nation. Among the agents is Vexille, an experienced operative who uncovers the staggering truth behind Japan's decade of isolation.
