For centuries, vampires have lived by the rule of the Scarlet Moon. Once every year, they gather for "Visual Prison," a competition where the vampire with the most beautiful singing talent is granted great power by the Scarlet Moon. The event is dominated by two groups - ECLIPSE, who strive to maintain the established order, and LOST EDEN, who believe in rule by the strongest. Ange Yuki, a boy lacking confidence in his singing abilities, moves to Harajuku in search of his idolized musician. However, his journey takes a sudden turn when he ends up caught in one of the many confrontations between ECLIPSE and LOST EDEN. Though their performances leave him captivated, Ange falls victim to bloodlust and falls unconscious. When he awakens, he finds himself under the care of Guil Brion, the musician he admires. It is then that Ange discovers he is a dhampir - half human, half vampire. Despite now being able to participate in Visual Prison, Guil refuses to join Ange in competition. However, Ange meets Robin Laffite, a foreigner smitten with his incredible voice. With time ticking away until the competition, Ange must form a talented team to take part in a thrilling race against time.
