Description:

After being ousted from his school's volleyball team in Tokyo, talented setter Kimichika Haijima returns to Fukui where he reconnects with his childhood friend and fellow volleyball player, Yuni Kuroba. Seeing Kuroba's untapped potential, Haijima seeks to form a new team with Kuroba as the star player. However, Kuroba's nerves get the best of him during the prefectural tournament, leading to a loss and a falling out between himself and Haijima. Years later, both students end up attending Seiin High School and are reunited on the school's volleyball team. Haijima harnesses his past mistakes to help Kuroba overcome his anxieties and become the team's ace in order to win the prefectural championship and advance to the Spring Tournament. With support from their captain and vice captain, the Seiin team sets their sights on defeating the reigning champions of Fukui, Fukuho Technical High School, in order to achieve their goal. The question remains: will Haijima and his team conquer their rivals or fall to defeat once again?
