Description:
Marin is your regular upbeat junior high school girl living with a caring adoptive family. However, everything changes when a strange mirage appears in the sky above the entire globe. Monstrous androids, known as Monomakia, descend from the formation named Brigadoon and relentlessly pursue Marin. While seeking refuge, she discovers a blue bottle inside a shrine. This bottle summons a guardian – a gun-toting, sword-wielding extraterrestrial named Melan Blue. Together, they must save the planet all while dealing with personal struggles like family issues, school biases, and law enforcement, and unravel the secrets of Marin's past and Melan's mysterious mission. Along the way, they learn to trust each other. The story is set in 1969 Japan and features a diverse and vibrant cast of allies and foes.
