The city of Tokyo in Japan is gearing up for the grandest sports festival on earth, the "WSG-World Sports Games." Part of the opening ceremony involves showcasing the world's first "Vacuum Superconducting Linear" train, a product of their cutting-edge technology capable of cruising at a breathtaking speed of 1,000 km/h. The train will not just only serve those in Tokyo, but also those in Shin-Nagoya Station and Shibahama Station. However, things take a drastic turn when a group of high-profile sponsors of the tournament are abducted from a party spot, causing widespread panic. More top executives are subsequently taken, and Shuichi Akai takes note of the situation, while the FBI awaits his directives. Conan decides to investigate the case and uncovers a similar apocalypse-inspired kidnapping that took place fifteen years ago in Boston, USA; notably, the FBI was also involved in handling the previous case.
