Description:

In the year 41 of the Shinka Era, Jirou Hitoyoshi receives a mission to spy on a classified meeting between a government scientist and an industrial spy on a sunny July day. However, the mission goes awry when the spy reveals themselves to be an extraterrestrial, and chaos ensues. Seeking aid, Jirou turns to Kikko Hoshino, a waitress and magical girl who belongs to a group of superhumans protecting humanity from alien threats. Jirou is tasked as part of the Super Population Research Laboratory to defend and eliminate superhumans as needed. With Kikko's help, Jirou recruits her into the agency. As time passes, Tokyo's resentment towards superhumans grows, fueled by moral dilemmas and corrupt politicians. The tension between humans and supernaturals reaches a boiling point, and whispers of unrest spread. In unforeseen circumstances, Jirou turns against the agency and becomes a fugitive. He ventures through the rainy alleys of Shinjuku, pursued by the very same superhumans he once recruited.
