Description:
Makoto Naegi, known as the Ultimate Hope for defeating the Ultimate Despair, Junko Enoshima, is suspected of betraying the Future Foundation by sheltering the Remnants of Despair who carry out her will. The Future Foundation's top members, including Makoto's former classmates Kyoko Kirigiri, Aoi Asahina, and Yasuhiro Hagakure, are summoned to determine Makoto's fate when they are unexpectedly imprisoned by Monokuma. They must survive a final killing game, where they seek out the traitor who will kill them while also avoiding the deadly personalized forbidden actions. Thrust into an untrustworthy environment, Makoto's hope is challenged. This series aired alongside Danganronpa 3: Zetsubou-hen, with Mirai-hen premiering first.
