Description:
Souma Yukihira has been cooking alongside his father, Jouichirou, for as long as he can remember. As a sous chef in their restaurant, he has honed his culinary skills and created innovative dishes that have left patrons amazed. His ultimate goal is to surpass his father's talents and inherit the restaurant one day. But when his father suddenly announces he's shutting down the shop to move to New York, Souma decides to enroll in the prestigious Tootsuki Culinary Academy instead of joining him. Only 10% of students at Tootsuki graduate, and the academy is renowned for its "Shokugeki," intense cooking matches that are used to settle disagreements. To surpass his father and achieve his dreams, Jouichirou advises Souma to graduate from Tootsuki. However, the competitive student body and rigorous curriculum prove to be a challenge for the teenage chef. Can Souma navigate this harsh terrain and succeed, or is his talent alone not enough to reign supreme at Tootsuki?
