Description:
In A.D. 2034, Motoko Kusanagi has been absent from Section 9 for two years, leaving Togusa in charge of a larger team. As the expanded team investigates a string of complex incidents, they discover that a highly skilled hacker known as the Puppeteer is responsible. Meanwhile, Batou, who is pursuing the case independently, unexpectedly crosses paths with Motoko. Before departing, she warns him to avoid the Solid State Society, leaving Batou with questions.
