Description:
During the "Laughing Man Incident" of 2024, the radical microtechnology company, Serano Genomics' leader, Ernest Serano, was kidnapped and held captive for a ransom. For six years, the authorities' tireless efforts proved futile in resolving the baffling mystery. However, Detective Yamaguchi, a key investigator in the case, contacted Public Safety Section 9's Togusa for a crucial meeting. Tragically, shortly after their conversation, Yamaguchi passed away in a tragic accident. Days later, while interrogating potential suspects from previous attacks, the notorious "Laughing Man" reappeared to announce his next move, issuing a menacing warning of impending doom.
