Description:

Joseph Carter "Joey" Jones is a gentle, shy person living in Center City, California, with his loving grandmother. Despite his family's financial struggles and being bullied at school, Joey remains optimistic about life. He has a passion for robotics and dreams of owning a top-of-the-line Heybo robot as his prized possession. One day, Joey and his friend Simon "Psy" Kaina stumble upon a severely damaged Heybo discarded by some rich kids. Joey takes it home with him and manages to repair it himself. He ecstatically calls it "Heroman". However, during a thunderstorm, Heroman is struck by lightning and suddenly springs to life, growing in size and power. That very night, Center City comes under attack by an alien force called Skruggs, attracted by the efforts of a mutual acquaintance of Joey's, Professor Matthew Denton, who had been trying to communicate with them. Joey and Heroman quickly rush to the site of the invasion, witnessing many lives in danger, including Joey's friend Lina Davis and her father. Using a controller attached to his arm, Joey commands Heroman to unleash its superpowers to fight against the Skruggs and save innocent civilians. With the aliens unleashing their full fury upon the Earth, Joey and Heroman become the last line of defense standing between civilization and utter destruction.
