Description:
In 1991, arcade video games were all the rage, but the concept of professional gaming was still a distant dream. Despite this, sixth-grader Haruo Yaguchi aspired to pursue this path. He had gained respect in local arcades due to his gaming skills, providing him with confidence and pride. However, his confidence was shattered when his classmate, Akira Oono, effortlessly defeated him in Street Fighter 2. Akira was perfect in every sense - rich, pretty, and smart. Haruo, on the other hand, was unconcerned with these things as his supreme gaming skills overshadowed his flaws. However, with someone who could rival him, Haruo's feelings for Akira were mixed. He despised her for taking away his dominant position but also craved a worthy competitor, and Akira was more than qualified.
