The Earth was ruined in the distant future, leaving human beings with no choice but to venture into outer space. Nevertheless, due to an unknown, insurmountable enigma that prevented them from doing so, humanity was compelled to return to their homeland after a while, only to find it barren and lifeless, with the exception of Japan. To provide housing for the entire population, pocket dimensions were created throughout Japan. In order to figure out how to escape back into the vastness of space, human beings began reenacting the course of history as described in the Holy Scriptures. Unfortunately, in the year 1413 of the Testament Era, the pocket dimension nations invaded and took over Japan, dividing it into feudal fiefdoms and forcing the initial inhabitants of Japan to flee. At present, in the year 1648 of the Testament Era, the Japanese exiles are surviving on the city vessel Musashi, which circumnavigates Japan, watched by the Testament Union, the governing body in charge of history reenactment. Ordinarily, rumors regarding an apocalypse and warfare would be disseminated as the Testament ceases to reveal further events after 1648. Capitalizing on this moment, Toori Aoi, the President of the Student Council and head of the Supreme Federation at Musashi Ariadust Academy, rallied his classmates in a bid to recover their homeland.
