Description:

The protagonist is a reclusive bookworm who maintains distance from the world around him. He does not show interest in others and assumes no one feels any interest in him either. One day, he comes across a handwritten book named Living with Dying, which he soon realizes belongs to his cheerful classmate Sakura Yamauchi. Sakura trusts him with her secret that she is suffering from pancreatic disease and has limited time left. No one except her immediate family knows about her illness, not even her closest friends. Though he initially provides no sympathy, the protagonist finds himself compelled to accompany her in her final days due to Sakura's positive outlook on life. Through their interactions, their bond strengthens, and their choices and actions intertwine. The protagonist's previously emotionless demeanor is disrupted by Sakura's indifference and unpredictable behavior, eventually leading him to acknowledge and appreciate the true importance of living.
